Low Vision Conference: Navigating Services for Students with Reading Disabilities

Is it vision? Is it a problem with reading? This workshop will summarize the fundamentals of reading, identify the differences between dyslexia and other reading disabilities, and provide strategies and resources for the VI professional to collaborate with school personnel for students who are struggling print readers. Participants will learn how to navigate school systems to ensure students with low vision in general education classrooms are included in the appropriate processes for reading intervention.
