Aidan's Path to Braille: An Alternative Approach to Literacy
Live Webinar on April 1, 2020



Sherry Airhart, a teacher of students with visual impairment in Frenship ISD, will share a unique approach she created to help a student with ONH who had struggled with braille literacy skills, despite several years of comprehensive instruction with traditional methods and materials. Her innovative approach demonstrates how thinking outside the box can help students along their path to braille, allowing them to not only develop important literacy skills, but also help them become more confident, active, and motivated participants in the world around them. This interactive webinar will include video and photos documenting the student's progress as well as the opportunity to dialogue with Sherri about her experience.

Handouts, as well as a link to the webinar, will be sent out to all registered participants via email on the webinar date. Instructions on how to connect will be included.

During the Zoom webinar be sure to sign in with the first, last name, and emaill address of all your registered viewers. Participants calling in via phone will need to send in a SIGN-IN SHEET. Once you are marked attended, you will receive an email notification to take our online evaluation.

A session code will be given to you at the end of the training. You will need to provide this code when you take our survey in order to obtain CEU credit.
