TSBVI TechTea Time: The Future of Cooking for Assistive Technology Users
Hosted via Zoom on November 14, 2024

Brava introduces its innovative countertop Smart Oven that empowers assistive technology users with safer, more independent cooking experiences. Attendees will learn about Brava's patented light-based cooking technology, intuitive design, and the software that makes culinary tasks effortless for individuals with disabilities. This summer Brava is set to revolutionize your kitchen with a software update tailored for the blind and low vision communities. You’ll enjoy the freedom to set up and control your cooking entirely from your smartphone, with full voice control capabilities, eliminating the need for the touchscreen. With built-in safety features like guided recipes, staying cool to the touch and automatic shutoff, Brava empowers you to prepare meals safely and independently. The presentation will detail Brava's impact in Massachusetts, demonstrating its effectiveness and versatility. We will discuss our commitment to enhance accessibility through upcoming software updates, explore current and future use cases, address current product limitations, and outline our vision for future accessibility features. The session will conclude with an open call for partnerships to expand Brava's presence in lending libraries and to navigate the funding landscape together, inviting a collaborative approach to increase the quality of life for AT users.
