What’s my next lesson with my student with low vision?
TSBVI Outreach in collaboration with ESC Regions 7, 8, and 10, the East Texas Lighthouse for the Blind, and Stephen F. Austin State University present the North East Texas Low Vision Conference: Filling in the Gaps, a one-day conference on meeting the needs of academic students with low vision on Friday, January 22, 2016 at Region 8 ESC in Pittsburg, TX.
Highlights include: interactive learning stations with ideas for instruction in the Expanded Core Curriculum, tips for access to the general curriculum, and effective models for itinerant service and collaboration.
Filling in the Gaps is the first in a series of annual conferences targeting students with low vision. Future conferences will include students with low vision and additional impairments and students using dual media.
Audience:The conference is geared for professionals. Parents, administrators, and others are always welcome and are encouraged to attend and share in the learning.
