Introduction to the Intervener Team Model Training (Online Course Via Bridge)
This workshop will provide a brief overview of topics related to implementing a team approach to intervener services when working with students who are deafblind and have multiple disabilities in an educational setting. Because this training focuses on team building strategies, teams are asked to include at least two members of the student's IEP team to participate in the workshop. Breakout sessions will provide opportunities for members of student's IEP teams to work together to plan and design instructional activities that can be implemented into their student's educational program.
Objectives:
• Understanding the roles and functions of each team member on the IEP.
• Improving the implementation of the intervener model through a collaborative instructional approach.
• Facilitating discussion among IEP team members on improving the educational programming of students through the implementation of a team approach to the intervener model.
