Introduction to Music Braille
For Beginners

This online workshop will be live and is intended for those who are teaching or plan to teach and/or transcribe music for their K-12 students. No musical background is required.

Learning Objectives:
• This training covers fundamental topics in order for participants to successfully transcribe a simple piece of music by the end of the workshop.

NOTE: This is a hands-on training and each attendee must have access to a working laptop or PC with a functioning camera and mic. Computers should be able to run the following (free) software applications: Zoom and PerkyDuck. Zoom will be used for interactive virtual presentations and the PerkyDuck braille software will be used to complete assignments.

Handouts, as well as a Zoom link to the training, will be sent out to all registered participants before the start of the broadcast. Instructions on how to connect will be included.

During the Zoom webinar be sure to sign in with the first, last name, and email address of all your registered viewers. Participants calling in via phone will need to send in a SIGN-IN SHEET. Once you are marked attended, you will receive an email notification to take our online evaluation.

A session code will be given to you at the end of the training. You will need to provide this code when you take our survey in order to obtain CEU credit.
