Mental Health Symposium for Deaf/DeafBlind
Hosted by the Texas Mental Health Initiative for Deaf Youth



This is the first Symposium which will address mental health issues, concerns and needs of youth who are deaf or deafblind. This event consists of 2 afternoons of presentations, group discussion, and networking. Mental Health professionals, educators, community service providers, families and consumers are welcome to attend. This event will be conducted virtually, however, interested persons from across the state are encouraged to participate.

Presenters: Opening keynote presenter will be Melissa Anderson, Ph.D. Closing keynote presenter, Kerry Ingram, Ed.S, LPC-S. Additional presenters will include Trish Grooms,LMSW, Malibu Barron,MA.,NCC, Leisha Campbell,LPC, and Cynthia De Los Santos, LMFT.

Cost: $25 per person. Limited scholarships are available upon request for parents. Please contact Edgenie Bellah at bellahe@tsbvi.edu for more details.

CEU Credit: Credit hours are still being determined. In addition to SBEC & ACVREP, we are pursuing BEI, RID, CPE, LMSW, and LPC.
