TSBVI Coffee Hour: Cognitive Evaluation for Students who are Deafblind: A Panel Discussion Regarding Best Practices
Hosted via Zoom on March 18, 2024



A panel including a Deafblind Education Consultant, an Educational Diagnostician, and a Family Engagment Coordinator will discuss best practices in evaluating cognitive abilites of students who are deafblind. Topics include eligibilty criteria for Intellectual Disability, using caution with global measures of intelligence, the benefit of targeted measures, and the importance of a collaborative approach.

Some logistics will be different with our Coffee Hours, as compared to the past, but you can expect the same commitment to providing information, discussion, and collaboration on topics important to students who are blind, visually impaired, or Deafblind.

Important Session Information:


A link to the Zoom session will be included in your confirmation, upon completing your registration. When entering the zoom session be sure to sign in with your first name, last name, and email address. This will help us mark attendance.

After the session, once you are marked attended, you will receive an email notification to take our online evaluation. A session code will be given to you at the end of the training. You will need to provide this code when taking the evaluation to obtain CEU credit.
