First Time user Information

How to Create an Account

  • Click on Sign In, then use Click here to create a new account link.
  • Complete the online form and click Save Record.
  • Make note of your email address and password. You will need these the next time you sign in.

How to Find a Session

  • Search by topic - click the Search by Keyword link, enter your keyword in the text box, and click the Search button.
  • Search by calendar - Click the calendar of sessions link and search our calendar by date.
  • Search for Conferences - Click the Conferences link to see a listing of multi-session events.

How to Register for a Session

  • Click the session link to view the detail page.
  • Click the Register button on the session detail page.
  • Click the Check Out button and proceed to Complete Check Out.
  • If needed, provided payment information. Please refer to our Billing and Payment Statement.

Accessibility Statement:

To help us make the Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired eWorks website a positive place for everyone, we've been using the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities, and user friendly for everyone. The guidelines have three levels of accessibility (A, AA and AAA). ACVREP and SBEC Statement:

Our training events have been approved by the Academy for Certification of Vision Rehabilitation and Education Professionals (ACVREP) and the State Board for Educator Certification based on the actual hours of the presentation not including breaks. Other types of certification are not regularly provided.

Adjusted Pricing Statement:

For some of our events and trainings, fees may vary depending on the registration category selected within your account settings. (IE: Professional, paraprofessional, family member, university student, and speaker / sponsor.) Fees may also vary based on early and late registration deadlines. If a fee structure is in place for a particular event or training, then it will be noted on the event page under "Important Session Information." You must log into your account and register before the adjusted fees will show correctly upon checkout.

Billing and Payment Statement:

If there is an associated fee for an event or training, you will have the option of paying by check, purchase order, or credit card. Cash will not be accepted; unless you are otherwise notified. Credit card payments will only be accepted online at the time of registration. All invoices/confirmations will be sent via email to the primary email address listed in your user account. If your fee is being paid for by your school district or supporting agency, either with a check or a PO, then please be sure to forward your email to the appropriate person immediately so that payment may be processed.

Payment by check may be sent in advance, paid on location, or received within 30 days of the event date. Instructions regarding where to send payment will be provided in your invoice/confirmation. If you are unable to supply a check or a PO number at the time of your registration, then you may simply enter "0000" and provide the number to us at a later time.

Cancellation /No-Show Policy:

A late cancellation/no-show fee may be applied to registrations for workshops and conferences canceled less than 7 days prior to the start date of the event. This includes "no-calls, no-shows." If you suspect that you are unable to attend, please log into your account to cancel your registration or contact us ASAP to avoid this charge.
